Illustration
Below you will find a variety of illustrative works showcasing my approach to developing strong visual solutions for my clients. Ranging from instructional guides to character development and more.
Proper Paddle Strokes & Knots
A sample of an instructional guide developed for the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness. The goal was to create a collection of various “how-to” assets ranging from canoe paddling strokes to an assortment of useful knots for canoe-camping.
Iconography & Content Layout
A game of Survival, created by the team at Grizzly Guide. This project was heavily focused on the development of various icons to best represent different resources, tools, scenarios and mechanics within the game.
The Fight For Clean Water Continues…
In Northeastern Minnesota there is an ongoing battle to protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness from threats posed by copper sulfide mining interests. These two posters were created with the intention to help educate and inform local communities about the harmful environmental affects of copper sulfide mining threatening Minnesota’s cleanest water.
How To: Build A Fire
For this project I created a series of illustrations to use in a step-by-step guide on how properly to build a fire. Developed for Lärkk Equipment’s field guide. These graphics are meant to assist readers with a visual representation of the actions discussed in the written instruction.
Character Design
If you need a unique representative to best share a concept, message, or intention, I’d love to hear more. With a whimsical and playful approach to character development my designs are often stylized, bold and simple.
